Why is my wait to start and water in fuel light staying on and blinking?
So the other day while I was driving they just came on. Ive cleaned the ground under the hood and the bulk plug on the firewall.
Its a 91 5 speed with no air....base model

Sometimes that happens when a fusible link burns.
If your truck had power windows, they probably wouldn't work when this happens.
The fusible links are ahead of the driver's hood hinge, beside the grid heater relays and they are just after the triangular "duck's foot" that is part of the main connection to the battery.
Visibly check them for burns and gently pull on the insulation, if it stretches, one is burnt out.
