Who's got a 3.07???

I'm puzzled. Here and there I keep reading about people who have 1st gens with 3.07 rear axles, but I can't find 3.07 rings & pinions listed anywhere as an option for either Chrysler 9.25'', Dana 60 or Dana 70...?

So, who's got 3.07's and on which axle?

I do. They came as an option. I'd rather have the 3.54s though.

2wd (D350) 3.07, a 727 and a Gear Vendors. Next step, a 47rh (locking converter) to get more than 24 mpg unloaded!

Try Dana 61 and 71. The 3.07s require a different axle housing. My 93 has them from the factory even though I can't find anything that shows they were an option for the 93. My data tag shows 3.0 for the gear ratio.

3.54's w/ a 727 would be terrible on the highway no? Maybe if you're reving 4K it would work.

I put 3.07 D61F/D70 combo in my 1972 Dodge Crew Cab Adventurer Cummins with a 2wd Getrag Trans and Divorced NP205 transfer Case. It is very nice to tow in 4th. The Rag appreciates it. Lawnmower countershaft bearings are a non issue when towing in direct... Stock size 235/85R16 Toyo M55 tires.

3:07's were an option in 93. The dealer build book shows them only in 250 series with getrag trans.

N/A for dually's.

I havea 93 dealer build book.

I have 3.07 on my truck with a 727 transmission and I would like 3.54 for awhile but now I can cruise down the freeway at 90 MPH with the engine humming along but with 3.54's I would probably need a 4k spring just to hit 75.
3.54 with a Gear Vendor would be nice.

Jim

Pretty sure my 92 dually has 3.07s. It was swapped from an automatic before I got it. My old 90 automatic dually had them too. Are there any options for a posi setup for 3.07s? Stock or aftermarket?
