I have 285s with the stock suspension and this spring I will be putting on a 4" skyjacker lift with 35s from what I've been told skyjacker makes the best lift for these trucks. The best but , more exspensive way to go is to get new springs all around rather than blocks in the rear.

Probably doesn't apply, but I am running a 5" System I had Alcan spring build me. I weighed the truck at each corner..told them what I wanted to do with it (abuse it) and then had them build the springs. I can't begin to explain how well they ride...but I have had many Third Gen owners tell me it rides better than the new Dodges. 4 springs custom tailored $1000. I was skeptical when I bought them...now after 4 years of abuse that killed the previous Skyjackers in 9months....I am totally sold it was $$ well spent.

Not a low budget approach...and depending how you drive it..maybe not even required. I was happy with the Skyjacker stuff until I started towing...that was the end of them.

i think you will have to cut the body to run 40's on a 6 inch only, 38's barely clear with the right offset

do any of you guys with the skyjacker lift tow often? I am looking to get the 4 in kit and run 35's but i don't want to compromise my towing ability's. I primly tow my travel trailer (28 ft, GVWR of 5500#s) and do plan on making few 1,000 mi trips this summer.
