Call south bend clutch and they have a stock replacement clutch for us for $375. Best price I found. Its funny the clutch itself gets shipped out of like Montana or something. On my door step in less than 5 days and is probably the exact same kit that napa sells.

 

I was guided to this website for Getrag kits, Standard Transmission , they sell clutch sets too and the prices seem really competitive. I just don't know about the quality. Anyone care to enlighten me about this company???

 

NAPA clutch would be a downgrade. Don't try to go cheap or cut corners on a best deal on a clutch. Call South Bend. www.southbendclutch.com

I notice that the south bend kit does not come with a flywheel, It seems as though the napa one does, Is it recomended that i replace the flywheel along with the clutch?

Standard Transmission put the 4500 in my truck (Broke down in Texas) for 2800, in three days. No problems yet.

I ordered the stock replacement clutch from Peter, as I plan to tow. And I noticed on the clutch disk the name "Valeo" which I happen to remember is the brand that one of the major chain parts houses sold but for about $400 more. I would bet that the clutch from napa comes from the same place as the one from Peter.

Also you don't need to replace the flywheel, just take it to a machine shop and have it turned/resurfaced should cost around $20.

 

I don't know about the stock replacement from them whether or not you get a new flywheel. But I do know if you buy any of their clutches shown on their website, you DO get a new flywheel. Also no need to send in your old flywheel for core.
