I need help on something. Is the wheelbase the same on a regular cab longbed, and an extended cab shortbed? I possibly have a reg/lwb truck that has a crushed cab and no bed('91, 2wd, cummins, 5sp) and was thinking of swapping a extended cab/swb bed onto it. Will it fit without cutting the frame?

 

CC/SB had a 133" WB, RC/LB had a 131" WB.

The regular cab frame kicks up too far forward to clear the extended cab floor, so modifications to the cab or frame are needed anyway.

 

Well ****. That is not what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the reply, now I am pretty much back to square #1. Why can't I use some sort of a body lift to level the cab?

 

You could if you want to body lift the cab and bed.
