What kind of wheel is this?

I've been looking around for some wheels for my newly acquired 93' and was looking for some wheels and tires for it, I have some h2 wheels and tires on my 92' but this time I want something that matches the classic look better, after searching through the current wheel designs and ending up with nothing, some of the older steel spoke wheels began to appeal.

In the past there were many 60's and 70's era trucks and 3 door suburban with 8 lug steel 8 spoke wheels with a flat plate or slightly dished center. Below is one that I found in a 5 lug version. Does any one know what vehicle they came off or if it was an aftermarket manufacture tat made them and where to get some in a 16" or 16.5" wheel size. These should look good with some 37" or 38" military tires on the truck, any information is greatly appreciated.

I had a set of those on my 1973 Power Wagon. They were from Dick Cepak (sp?). They were quite popular then, and were called 8 spoke wagon wheels.

From what I see on Ebay, it looks like Pacer still makes them.

Cool deal. Are you looking at putting the Bias 36" hMMVW tires on there or the radial 37" ?

I have the 37" on mine they're great.

would you be kind enough to measure the true height of those 37's for me?

sure.

Well Come by and take a look at how they fit in mine. I don't have any issue with the fronts and you have what looks to be 2-3" more lift than I do. I lifted my rear end too high, I'm going to be removing the 3" block today, I have a 10 degree actual angle on my final driveline! (too short) but even then , the 37s fit great with no lift at all. You might need to tub out the inside of the fenders a bit though if you're going to load it a lot/squat it

I just measured the rear tires... 35" from the floor up

These are the Good Year Wrangler MT Military OZ 37" HMMWV surplus tires BTW. I got them used. They are only about 3 years old and have 95% tread. I think the Military is going with a different tire now and are pulling all the old MT tires so there are a ton available at the surplus vendors all around. They have a 3800 LB load rating at 55 psi....

I second dart3404, Jackmans had the spokes welded directly to the wheel like in Yukon 400s picture. All other (that I know of, could be wrong) spoke or wagon wheels had the holes punched out of the center section leaving a continuous rim that was welded to the wheel like shown in dieselcrazy's picture. If you clean up the wheel you might find a manufacturers name stamped on the rim.
