My heap is just the opposite, hazes real bad with a lot of timing, that and the loss of low end power made me decide to start messing with it. I find that on my truck at least (prob wouldnt find two trucks set up identically anyway ) less timing makes for a much cleaner bottom end and noticeably more grunt...but then again I drive like an ooold man 90% of the time . As far as the OP, 5x12`s would prob be a good everyday injector...sorta middle of the road choice. Before I got the 7x10`s my choices were down to either 5x12 or 5x14...then the injector guy suggested the 7x10`s, they run good but the 158* angle peeves me.

are you also thinking that if you haze with lots of timing because of the spray angle?

Absolutely, in my mind the too wide angle is aggravated by an earlier injection event causing the fuel to hit too far outside the bowl.

Humm, good thing I got a set of 7X.010 in 145°. I haven't run across anything in this regard before. How ever let me throw this out there. I have a set of 5X.012 in 155° on my truck. I did not have a haze problem until I went to a 4" exhaust. I've been able to minimize it but not get rid of it.

Never thought that a worn pump would causes haze but I've had experience with this now that I think of it. With my 12mm pump and 6x18s this thing hazed like crazy at idle. A lot worse than my pods
Then I put the 14mm pump on that was a pretty fresh pump with a new h&r and it runs pretty clean at idle even with much more fuel. And advancing the timing on my 14mm didn't make the haze worse either except on a cold morning. Driving... well that's a different story haha

Thanks guys! When I said haze, I meant @ WOT, not at idle.

I was told 390+core for 5x.013's from DAP. They have them in stock. 5x.012's will be a week and 7x.010's will be a week or more.
