Question What dremel bits to grind down the AFC fueling pin?

I'm getting ready to grind down my AFC fuel pin (I need to get the truck running first ) and I have a dremel but I'm not sure which bits to use to grind the pin down. Could I do it with some coarse sanding and move to a finer grit to smooth it out?

Thanks

That would work, you might find that the sanding drum for dremels will shed the grit as you use them and become useless. Some of the course grinding stones should work fine and just switch to the finer ones to smooth it out.

Is grinding the fuel pin something anybody can do? I was looking at getting one that was already ground but if I can do it myself with a dremel tool and save $170 I'd rather do that. I am no machinist, so I don't wanna screw anything up, is there any good directions how to do it online or pictures or anything like that? I am guessing that the pros to this mod is increased fuel, is there any drawbacks?

I ground mine using a the course stone provided with the kit. I then dressed it with sanding wheel 1/2". After that I used a fine sanding flap wheel for a medium polish. The smoother the better. I notice no major mileage decrease in mileage, I picked up some 3-4 MPH in the 1/4 mile.

You can grind it as far as you want, just not to thin so it will break. I was not very agressive, maybe between 1/16 and 3/32nds at the deepest point.

I did mine with just the sanding drum. Went thru 2 of them.
Then polished it with the dremel buffing tips and medium compound.
