This has always bugged me. It works, doesn't blow off, but it looks so chincy. As you can see the pipe angles down to the intercooler. What coupler should I get to have a better connection here? and where can I go online to get it? Thanks guys.

Um I think it's 3" piping. It's just a standard coolertubz pipe. I got coolertubz before he invented the PS/IC kit for the first gens.

I think I just need a longer coupler?

I agree that a longer coupler would be a better fit.

I would also replace that hose-clamp with another TEE-bolt clamp.

I get that sort of stuff from Verocious Motorsports.

You could call them and explain that you need a longer than standard coupler.

Hump hose is what you want. It'll have some flex in it for just that situation.

The problem happens because of the straight intercooler pipe trying to go to the outlet of the d-tech turbo... its in a different place than the stock turbo so you need to tip the tube up like his picture. It makes the coupler look like crap when you do it though.

hey-Hey!!!,
One more thing on the coupler. Get one with fiberglass reinforcement. Polyester, aka mylar is at( or over ) its limit for use at the turbo and even a four-ply will be at risk. Now ov course the 'glass ones are about twice the price.
cheers,
Douglas

yeah i had the same deal, but it never blew off at over 40 lbs of boost so i didn't worry about it. I think if its clamped good past the ribs, then it should be fine.

It also appears that you have a 3rd gen compressor housing. If the s362 from D-Tech had the 1st or 2nd gen comp. housing with the v-banded 90* elbow, things would probably line up better. But, if it works, it works!
