whats ur trucks top speed with out gov spring?

alright well first time takin it on the highway since i got it all refinished, couldent drive due to me only having my L anyway i let the brother drive and to the floor it was maxed out at 120ish, is that about right with my stock a518 trans and 3:54 gears? with that govener spring would it increase the speed? and also would the injectors and 16cm turbo housing do some good to? man this diesel world really is addicting

my speedo reads 85mph. down hill i went a little over and on flats i max out a 75mph. i don't want to push it to far i don't have a tach and she sounds like she's screeming. but my truck is a 3 speed auto with 3.07's. plus fuel milage really goes way down after 65mph or so.

ohh ok, so mines about the same , yeah it really does scream at that rpm but he let off it was just to see how much it takes to get it up there and if it goes any faster then let off, if i by any chance put 4:10 gears in what would that do for it? i mean these trucks arent for this speed thing but id like to get some more out of it if i could.

My 93 used to top out at around 92 before mods. Now I have no idea where it will stop pulling.

mullisha--what size tires are you running? Im assuming bigger than stock. My brothers 93 2wd 518 with a banks powerpack would top out at 98 all day long. My 91 with getrag/3.07 combo...well Ive had it to 120 with a ways left to go.

I have 4:10's but I'm sitting on 285's and I think that I topped out at 80 or 85(pre spring and pre rebuilt pump as well)been a while and will not do it again.

If you're lookin for speed, 4.10's are going backwards. I can only hit 85-86 with my 4.10's and 35's. I ran a set of 3.54's for a while and could get her to 94-95, but the 4.10's are so much more fun to drive, especially with the 35's.

well right now im only running 285's i would like to get 35's sooner or later depending what i can squeez out of the wallet, today the truck definetly had alot of savvy with the o/d off, we were driving with it on in town oops haha, but once that was figured out we were climbin a hill on the highway and we were passin a ford and it pulled out to keep ahead and i said to the brother ehhhh dodge dont like that, so the brother gave it all and the ford couldent even have a chance nor think of what to do except possibly say i need one of those.

if i wanted a truck that would get up over 100mph, i would of bought something different, it is nice though to no longer have the slowest truck on the road, but with the cost of fuel i drive like an old man, really try and keep the soot to a min. but i have to say, in town it is fun in 3rd and 4th.
