Water meth blowing fuses.

Hey guys, i installed my water meth, and everything was working great. now, its running off of the boost line, and comes on at 10 psi. Well, today i tried to add a toggle switch and the truck keeps blowing the fuse. i used the wire that went to the cigarette lighter, and i put the wire to the pump, the key source wire and the wire to the switch together. then i grounded the switch out, and the system works until you go to turn off the switch then turn it back on again. it just pops the fuse. should i run the wire from the pump to the battery instead of a key source?
thanks.

Is the switch lighted? Is that the reason for the ground? Normally the pump should get it's power from the control box. The "arming" switch interrups the power going to the control box. Turning it on and off should not pop a fuse unless the ground for the switch light is on the wrong connector on the back of the switch or it is a bad switch.

are you using a relay for the pump or just powering the pump off the cig lighter wire?
