W250 Front driveline parts assist needed

Hey all I've been searching past threads on people modifying their front driveline for one reason or another, but can't get my answer. My dillema is I am wanting to swap my D60 yoke to a 1350 series u bolt style to accept new spicer u joints that have the external C clips. I have the new yoke and u joint on hand, but as you know, the original slip yoke doesn't have the groove to accept the clip built in. Currently my oem slip yoke measures 6 1/2" from center of u joint hole to end of yoke at the spline slip. I have about 3/8" of spline showing so I'm thinking 7" or so from center of hole to end of yoke is what I need, made for the 1350 style yokes and u joints. My parts guy is referring me to a driveline shop to re fab up a whole new driveline from transfer case to D60 when all I need is a new 1350 style slip yoke. So my questions are: are those available somewhere, and is 3/8" of spline showing detrimental? I do have the slip connection encased in a protective boot. Newbie at driveline stuff a bit I am. Any guidance to avoid a $300 new driveline would be appreciated. It's just that I want to make sure that a new slip yoke isn't already out there before forking out cash. Thnx

A GOOD driveline shop should be able to answer that question.

Give either of these guys a call and see if they can answer it for ya.

Looks like you may be out of luck, I can't find a 30 spline fine 1-9/32" 1350 front yoke.

About the best you could do would be to get a Neapco 16 spline and replace your 1-9/32" spline with a 1-1/2-16 spline.

At that point though you might as well step up to a complete HD driveshaft, the price wouldn't be all that much different.

That's the company wanting $$$ for a whole new driveline. My parts guy tried explaining what I needed was that sliding yoke and they cut him off and told my guy to tell me to just bring in my driveline

I have always had really good service and great advice from them. they have never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. When they shortened my jeep driveline they used all my old parts(all in great shape) for 50 some odd bucks.
