VW Fuel Cut Solenoid Worked!!
Well I just installed my VW fuel cut solenoid and
it worked like a champ. I called around and found one
for $35.58 out the door. (dodge dealer was over $200 )

It fits all VW and Audi diesels and the P/n is
[0 330 001 040 ]. I would suspect that it also works
in volvo diesels as well (its a VW motor with VE pump)
Since it is a bosch part I would iagine that there are
quite a few P/n's that are similar but that one might get
you headed in the right direction. So depending on what foreign car is the most popular in your area finding a cheap one should be simple.

The place I got it from was Valley Wagon in Carson City, NV.
Ph 775-882-2350. They ship daily so if you cant find one
look them up.

Woo Hoooo!!

I just bought a VW VE injection pump off ebay for $10. I bought it to tear apart and learn how the darn thing works. Looks like there may be an even brighter side to it! 8)

Thank you FirstGenBikeHauler! I have added your part number to the 1st gen section of the Tech Facts page. Let me know if any problems arise with your part. ;D Thanks again.

Re:VW Fuel Cut Solenoid Worked!!

I have some bmw 524td's at the shop. They are 6 cyl turbodiesels with bosch ve pumps identicle to the cummins pump and they redline at over 5000rpm. I was trying to get the excentric cone out of one,but it doesnt want to pull all the way out for some reason. I also have some of the vw pumps on the shelf.
If i had a cummins ve in one hand and a bmw ve in the other, you wouldnt be able to tell me which was which.
-RATCHET-

Ratchet,

Try turning the eccentric 90 degrees or so and then trying to pull it out. Sometimes the fuel pin on the eccentric will not let it come out because of the depth of the cone and the bottom lip.
