Vibrates real bad in 4x4
Ever since i lifted my truck, It shakes pretty bad in 4x4 with the hubs engaged......With hubs engaged and t-case in 4wd it's fine and vise versa, but if the hubs are locked and t-case in 4wd it shakes badly.
I just rebuild my front shaft with new CV and U-joints, and i clearenced the hell out of everything so nothing is hitting in the CV joint,
Only thing i can imagine it being is the front pinion angle? but even then the U-joint should make up for it.
The skyjacker front springs came with the angle shims attached to the bottom of them.
I can actually feel it slow the truck down when i pop it in 4x4 and it starts vibrating real bad.
any help is appreciated.

Lose a weight on the front axle shaft? How bad is the vibration.. steering wheel is bouncing around or is it minor?
Could also be a bearing in the transfer case. When I took my T apart the bearings were roasted. Funny thing is that needles bearings were perfect.

cant have anything to do with the t-case or the front diff. i've ran the truck hundreds of miles in 4x4 before the lift and it was as smooth as glass.
the shaking isnt in the wheel it feels like its in the drivetrain, like i can feel it in my butt and it feels like somethings binding, the whole truck feels like it'll fall apart
weight is still on the front shaft, when i put the new springs under the front i didnt even unhook the shaft i just left it hooked up

Could the slip joint be near where it is going to fall apart and going around like a jump rope? When I put a 6" lift on my gasser I had to use a driveshaft spacer.

think about that thou if your transfer is locked it still will make the front driveline move under force so Yes it could be a bearing hub's can be unlocked and it would still cause problem's

Fwiw a 4" lift extends the driveshaft 1"

Are the u-joints in phase and the crosses lined up? You said you o/h`ed the front shaft, double check you didnt get the slip yoke off a spline or two. I did that with my 86 gasser, thought my teeth were gonna shake out of my head

I didnt mess with the slip joint. So it cant be off a spline. And yes everything is synchronized but it still did the same vibrating before i rebuilt the shaft just recently
