VE Pump Numbers
I was wondering the differences on the VE pump numbers; a 205 and a 184? Is one number a recalled pump and the other is not?
Thanks

The key to Bosch part numbers in the "Master Repair Manual Injection Pumps and Injectors Midrange Engines" states those last three digits are the application numbers. On my 89' it's 114 and I know several other early 1st Gens on here with that same number. Bill is the only one I know with an odd application number, 103 IIRC, I would guess his was replaced at some point but that is just a guess.

That is debatable... The earlier application has more plunger lift timing from the factory. You can change that if you have the tool.
114 = 1.40mm
184/205 = 1.25mm
114 = 1.40mm
184/205 = 1.25mm
