vacume pumps 89-90 to 91-93 whats the differences
Hi, I am in the middle of a Cummins swap and am using a 1990 motor in a 92 RC with original 92 harnesses for several reasons. Anyways, will I have any issues using the original vacume/power steering pump in the 92 truck? I noticed as I went through everything after the install that my defroster didnt seem to work. I know the vacume lines help control this stuff. Thank you for any helpful info
The only difference that I know of is the obvious, '89-'91 use diaphragm pumps and the '91.5-'98 use a vane style pump and have an oil supply line from the main oil galley in the block.
