Exclamation V.E Removal

I've been posting about a fuel leak, and I can see the problem is with the governer screw. first things first, I gotta get this pump off to fix it right? well, I have very little idea how to do that. wasn't there a link to somewhere that gave step by step instructions on removing the pump?
second thing: where do I find the o-ring that is to be replaced. whoever can help please do, I have to get this done tomorrow!

Not sure if pump has to be removed but. You simply use the pin in the pump, hold in the pin and turn the motor by hand until pin falls in. Once in i believe you turn it around and it stays in place, remove pump and do your handy work, make sure its still pinned and replace it, the motor has a pin as well, if both are pinned it cant be out of time, on sec gens you have to remove the oil filler to access the nut on the front of the pump to remove it, i assume it has to be done on first gen as well, before loosening the pump.

I know this a bit simple but iv never taken one off a first gen, but all 12 valves are pretty much the same cept our pumps a LOT smaller. when you pull the gear of front, dont drop the key, or youll be pulling timing cover off .Maybe a better pump remover will chime in as well.

Remove your oil filler tube from the front of the engine and remove the big nut on the pump gear. Now bar the engine over until the keyway is straight up to keep the key from falling out.

Remove pump and make sure the little key comes out with it.

When you go to reinstal the pump, simply turn it until the key is straight up and install it back onto the engine, again, making sure the key interfaces into the gear correctly.

Align the marks on the pump body and gear case and you're done.

I just did mine a few days ago. Dead easy process.
