Just picked up a used VE pump to replace the trashed one I have. It's unpainted (bare aluminum everything). The guy said it came off a 93 truck with an auto. the fuel pin still has all the factory guards on it so I'm pretty sure it's stock. Didn't they all come from the factory with black paint on them to match the block?

 

Check here, the pump may have been replaced under warranty and might be painted.

Hey are you supposed to be able to turn over the IP by hand? it's on my bench. Never mind I got it to turn (not easy) Im thinking this is a factory replacement because the date code is like 385 or something.

 

I had Dodge replace my ip Full warranty about 3 years ago No paint and no second tag on it
