Turbo Upgrade Recomendation?

Hey guys just got some pod injectors for my truck. Looking for a recomendation on a turbo to use with the PODs. Im sure the HX35 I have now wont get the job done as far as the most hp i can get out of this setup and keep the EGT's reasonable. So what would you fellas recomend?

Thanks

I doubt you'd be happy running anything less than an HX40 with those injectors.

The truck is just a toy, No towing or anything like that. i plan on hookin it to the sled next season and will be the ocasional street cruiser. dont care about smoke, milage or any thing like that. Just performance.

I have read up on the Hx40 but ive herd that you should not bark them due to the fact that the shafts can break, and since my truck is a 5-speed i dont know if that would be a good choice or not. What do you think?

If you plan to sled pull it I would avoid the 40, probably will end up breaking the shaft.

I'm not recommending the HX40. Just sayin' anything less than a 40, in terms of airflow, based on this statement:

you probably wouldn't have any problems with barking it if it has MWE. doesn't PDR's super 40 have the upgraded shaft? hence the "super" 40.

It probably would not bark under normal driving conditions. I meant it might bark at the end of a pull, or if you have to jump out of the throttle while pulling.

Aurora 4000 turbo. Reasonable price, decent spool, and flows a ton.

he351(stock turbo off 04.5-07 5.9 cummins) is a great and cheap upgrade! spools really quick! and cools very well! I just put one on my truck and love it! I am runnin 40 lbs with my stock sticks and it stays under 1200. Its a great upgrade! it would be great for a run around, toy truck!

Get a super 40

You won't hurt an hx40 with a Ve pump, Its the 50psi 2nd gen guys with cranked up p-pumps that break them at the end of pulls.

I'm going to try a HE351VE on the auto truck. Will probably be a few months though, but its on its way!

isn't the he351ve the variable vane turbo? One of my neighbors wanted to try one of those turbos on his 96 p pump 12 valve. Let us know how you like it and how it works, don't you have to figure out how to electronically control those?
