i was wondering if the 1st gen's had a silincer or suppresor ring for the turbo. my buddy told me about it and i would like to remove. thanks!

 

Nope. The H1C on our trucks has no silencer and no Map With Enhancment Slot. The slot makes the turbo more efficient over a broader boost range and eliminates surging.

The HX35 on the 94-98 2nd gens., and maybe after, has the silencer ring and MWE slot and is a good upgrade. Many guys here have them. I have one on my bench awaiting rebuild.
