I have a 1992 ctd w/ 5-speed 4x4. Just before I bought the truck about 4k miles ago it got 80 hp injectors and new turbo and k&n filter that I know most don't like. I advanced the timing and put 4" stright exhaust on it.

The turbo is a H1C.
My question is how can I find out if he put a 21stock size or one for a 1993 that is a 18.5?

It should be stamped..

 

it is stamped kinda on the bottom side of the housing. i used a mirror to read mine

 

What is your altitude? My 18.5 was way too big for here. I have a 16 on there now, and it has lag, but the top end is much better than a 14, and especially a 12.

 

I typicaly drive between 3000-9000.
