Turbine housing mods

So when looking through my aquired parts and junk, I found an hx35 12cm housing and wastegate actuator. I figured I'd clean it up and throw it on the 90' to replace the 18.5, but not without a little modification first. For one the wastegate only vents cylinders 4,5, and 6 which is just not gonna fly, so I drilled through to the other volute to vent all six cylinders. Did some porting on the inlet along with opening up the wastegate port itself directly under the puck. All fine and dandy but the real problem still lies in the poor amount of travel the puck can actually move off the seat. At best it may be a 1/4", not much for flow. To help remedy this I cut a spacer on the burn table out of 5/8" plate, now the puck can move completely off the seat, almost a full 90* from it. Best part is I only have $10 in the whole deal, for the copper to make new gaskets and the longer bolts needed. Took some pics of the finished product, enjoy!

Just a comparison to an untouched t3 housing, just happens to be another baby h1c I had with the 18.5.

Oh there will be. I never took as many pics as I should have on my other truck, so I'm redeeming myself with this one. I have a 5" exhaust off my 24v that I will modify to to fit this truck (with muffler) and do the 4" dp then. Write up on that as well. More to come for sure!
