When it sits for several hours it doesn't want to start right away. I'll have to give it throttle, or crank it over several times. Til a day or two ago, I barely hit the key and it was running. Is it the lift pump, or could the leaking fuel filter base be getting worse and letting fuel drain back?

Also, I'm thinking when the lift pump lets go, of going to the local Case dealer and getting a backhoe lift pump. The 590 Super M backhoe uses a 6B, and the fuel tank is lower than the engine block in them. Has anyone tried this? I don't see how it could need anything besides maybe a fuel line or two being made to use the other pump.

 

It's most likely a fuel leak somewhere, mine did the same thing and it was just the fuel line .

 

I know where it is, the fuel heater needs that o-ring. I just need to get off my butt and do it sometime. It is using fuel faster than it has been, or at least seems to be.
