you'd be surprised how quickly it all comes apart. just a reminder, label sandwich bags so you can keep the bolts together for certain parts. i'll cross my fingers and hope that you're lucky and don't have any cracks either.

I have got everything off of the head so all i have to do is lift the head off the block in the morning. I got all of my injectors out and some of them had oil and gunk on the bores and some of them were dry with carbon build up. Should i be worried about them besides having them pop tested?

just have them pop tested. they should open at 245 bar which is stamped on the body under the hold down nut. if they pop a little under you can still run them as long as you don't have any low-power issues. not to add to your list of parts, but only 2 out of 6 of mine were good but opened well under 245 bar. the first one at 212 and the next at 218. the rest didn't even atomize and it would've ran me $85 to rebuild each one. $510 for the whole set to be done. that's why i'm looking into 370's. slightly cheaper

I am kinda leaning foward to having the whole engine rebuilt while im at it for performance. So i was looking at some 370's an ats turbo and three piece manifold with their head and fire ring kit with the head studs. But i have to win the lottery to do that.

anything that says "ATS" on it will run you some big bucks. the manifold itself is almost $500.

Well i just got the head off and it has buildup around the valves and everywhere else but i believe i got lucky. I took a wire brush to the head and didnt see any cracks of the injector bore.

i will get pics in a little bit. I just got the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer, and the front timing cover to kill the kdp. The kdp has not moved at all. I found a new way to remove the harmonic balancer which is take a good rachet strap and fit the hook in one of the slots and then the other end to the frame. Then just tighten the strap so the strap does not pull out of the rachet and then just back the bolts off.

Looking for cracks

You may need to use dye penetrant to check for cracks (ie Magnaflux). They may not be visible to the naked eye.
