you know about all these "positive or fun sides" of things you hear on the radio from psychos to life coaches (snarl): got one for you. Find somebody who's never taken the transmission pan down before from under the truck and get him on it. Laughs guaranteed, matter of fact I still recall when the joke was on me...

It doesn't look like that converter has a billet cover

What'd you pay for it? what is it?

I know dave goerend does not use a billet cover on his, when I asked him about it he said being a non-lockup its not needed. he told me that contrary to popular belief teh billet cover was not designed for strength (it IS alot stronger though) but it was designed to give the room for multi clutch packs that would not fit in the stock cover. At least that is how Dave explaned it to me.

yea that makes sense.

The Goerend converter i saw was for a 47RE so it did'nt have the things welded onto the converter, it was actually like machined into the cover.

Do you happen to have a picture of a lockup TC? I've never seen one before and am curious how different they are to a non-lockup convertor.

Heres the back side of my converter.

Next trans will be a 47rh

I dont think a 727 converter is all that tight, specially with some weight behind it. This should be same as or better then the Hughs.

Its good for 900lbs tq. Im told I shouldnt be able to hurt it - unless im doing something really stupid. The ears will rip off the converter before I hurt it
