Transfer Case bolt pattern

Is there any other transfer case that will bolt to the back of a Getrag without an adaptor? Also I believe it was mentioned before, that Auto tranny trucks use a different spline count than the 5spd trucks?

Thanks

Well, I've seen the 205 behind lots of other trannies, so there must be some sort of universal bolt pattern...but to tell the truth, I really don't know. Why wouldn't you want a 205? There's a female-female coupler between the tranny and t-case. Autos got the lower spline count 205 and a different coupler to match.

Well I dont know.

Actually I am considering a conversion, since I need a 4wd dually, and can get a decent looking Ferd to start with. Just wondered if the newer nv4500 transfer case was similar or not. I never owned a 4x4 truck

i've swapped NP 203, 205 and 208's amoungst each other before without any real trouble--basically just different drive shafts. but these were all New Process t-cases. do they fit with other manufacturers? i don't know.
