Trans Issues

Yesterday my trans started acting up. It usually shifts quickly but yesterday, when taking off real easy, it revved way up before it shifted. If I put the gear selector in 2nd and then shift to drive then no problems. Any Ideas? Fluid level is right where it is supposed to be. Another note, if I put the hammer down then she shifts fine. Thanks

Does it "rev up" between low and 2nd, or 2nd and drive, or both? Cold or hot, or both?

Check to make sure that the TV / Kickdown cable has not come loose.
The housing came loose where it snaps in at the bottum end on mine, which made it basicly inoperative. One thing to eliminate first.

like old-stuff said check the T.V. cable adjustment. That is the only thing externally that controls the shift points.
