Hello to everyone! I'm a long time gazer but first time poster. I can't tell you all how helpful this site has been. i love these first gens so much, I now have three!!
My problem is my 93 does not want to down shift into first at a stop, and when I drop the lever down to first then it doesn't want to sift into second
Any help - very appreciated

sounds like it's an auto, it may be the TV cable but if you never touched it it could be the way the tranny is designed, to keep it in a low gear to tow properly, what is the tranny a A518 or a 727?

93's had the A518 mullisha. 89-91.4 had the 727 3 spd.

Check fluid level first... Then adjust the TV- just search and there's a lot of good posts on that. Otherwise sounds like a sticky governor, some trans people swear by lubegard red for loostening up stuff like that... Provide more info including mileage mods etc for better help
