Ladder Bars

I'm looking for some ladder bars for my 93'. I'd make some myself but lets face I'm quite lazy if I'm not getting paid to do it so I'm looking for something off the shelf. If it looks pretty too that's always a bonus! Anyone had any luck with specific ones?

Lazarsmith.com They make a lot of different styles and lengths and I know they have them for 1st gens. Beware though they are a little on the pricy side. I'm hoping to purchase a set at tax return time!

Look at it this way. With the money you'll save building them you'll be paying yourself. Luck around at what they cost and then search on here and other forums and see what guys have into build their own setup.

You make a very good point! They are definetly exspensive, I like to machine a set out of aluminum but don't have a mill with enough travel.

Yeah man i would just build some. They're pretty easy to build and much cheaper. I built mine for around $40 and the work awesome! I pretty much copied the ones from L&L products but i have a shackle and a different axle mount that is welded to the axle so they don't bind and the axle doesn't twist! I'll post some pics if you wanna see how i did mine. But seriously I would build some, you will be glad you did.

I don't know how you guys say you build your bars for under 50 bucks or even under a 100 bucks. Unless you have oodels of square or round tube at hand, heim joints falling out of your drawers and endless suppies of free argon and wire. I just made a set for my Brother and I had over 125 bucks in materials using cheap tractor joints. That is with a full on fab shop at my disposal too.

Sounds like were just a little more thrifty

70$ for tractor links
10$ for tube (good guy price)
0$ for brackets and misc(scrap pile)
