Tires?

Where does everyone get tires? I was looking at tirerack.com and they seem expensive. Yet they're lower than the local tire people around here.

Got a set of 315/75R 16 Hankook ATM's on discounttire.com for $233 ea. Best deal i could find anywhere then took them to tire barn and they mounted and balanced them for $ 15 ea. They were also free shipping and no tax. Had them in 2 or 3 days

305/70/16 Firestone destination A/T`s from tirerack, IIRC when I got them about 2-3 yrs ago they were 180-ish a piece...I`d be afraid to look today how much they are, lol. Good tire, happy with them and they seem to be wearing much better than the bfg`s they replaced.

I wish I had more choices. You have to buy local, otherwise the shipping just about doubles the price. Even then, the prices are crazy and still going up. The winter tires I bought 2 winters ago for $700 are now $1200! Almost double. The tires on my 92 are cheap junk and I need to replace them, but at the moment I cant justify the expense.

I got mine installed at Costco.

Best price around, and road hazard included free.

Free rotation and re-balancing as well...

I'm running the Goodyear Duratrack commercial. If you look on Tireracks website in the commercial area they have them there though I got mine at Discount (had to order them but they matched Tireracks price). They are really good in snow and on dry, not as good as a highway tire in rain and for a large void ratio traction tire very quiet and seem to be wearing very well. They are very sensitive to pressure and take a little figuring out but once that's done they're really good.
