Tilt Column Question

Do you guys with a tilt column have to remove the plastic around the steering column to get the dash panel out?

Thanks,

Randy

Yeah, I had to. I think it's only two screws.

If your easy with it you can bend it really slow as you pull up and out without removing the plastic .

I also remove the 2 nuts behind the fuse box and drop the steering column down onto my lap to get it out of the way, be sure to release the PRND21 indicator from the shifter, I tie a light thread on the cable making it easier to reattach.

Thanks Jim! I never thought about the PRND21 indicator, as my truck is a 5-speed, but now that you mention it the truck that I am working on is an auto.
