Ticking question

I feel like the dummy I am but I got a ticking noise in my engine. I quites some after it has been running for awhile. When it is cold after start up its pretty noticeable. Does anybody recommend an injector cleaner? My mileage is 169,000 on a 93. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike. I feel like this when it comes to mechanical things!

I recommend a valve adjustment.

It's really not that hard. I've heard everything from $75 to $250. If it's too tight it will burn a valve. Too loose isn't so bad but it does beat up the valve stems and gets looser over time.
