I just got a $150 ticket from Casper the photo narc for going through and intersection (green light) at 47 MPH in a 35. I know I shouldn't have been speeding, and the live action of me doing it with a smoke trail is slightly amusing, but I need to figure a way not to pay this civil ticket...

 

Well at least you can not get hit with points, as they can not confirm who was driving

And next time, roll a big enough cloud so that they can not get the pic

Ive heard you just pay the fine and the ticket doesnt go on your record...thats TX anyways.

Take a picture of your $$$ and send that in.

Now that is a riot!!! I would definitely do that if I got a ticket in the mail.


You could also ask that the observing "officer" sign the citation, in this case the camera.... I'm sure there is a legal hole that could get you out of it, but it probably isn't worth the hassle.

 

In AZ they take a picture of the vehicle AND you so you may/may not say you are driving....Ive got a defensive driving class coming up soon...

 

Well, the take a picture of the money has already been tried. The Police sent the man a picture of some handcuffs.....

However, in NC if you dispute the ticket (from all my knowledge) it is dropped. This picture method is just to make quick and easy funds for the state. Most times the state will not waste time on this because there are more fish to fry...

BTW NC has discontinued the photo red light and speed cameras. The state was not allowed to keep most of the profits so they just stopped.

 

Take it to trial and use your right to "confront your accuser" they should toss it out.
