Third Gen wheels

My friend let me take home his third gen brushed aluminum wheels to see if I would want then on my "Authentic" 1st gen, but the offset looks wrong. Will they fit?

I think that the fronts are too deep if I remember, too much work if you ask me.

waldo,

What do you mean by too much work. I've got a set of 16" aluminum wheels that I bought recently and the fronts hit the brake caliper & I think the tie-rod end as well. Are you aware of a work around?

3rd gen wheels are not a bolt up. I bough a set with tires from a member. The back fit fine, but up front the wheel hit the tierod end. I don't want to fuss around with spacers---the front end is already hard enough of wheel bearings as it is.
