Thinking about a Cummins for my 68 Chevy.
A 14 bolt would be a nice addition to that truck, if you like you can PM me as I know of an affordable 14 up my way. Of course I'd keep the whole GM theme going- D60, 14 bolt floater, 453T with n70's, 5spd Clark, np209. Good luck with your project, I've seen engines from small I-4 turbo John Deeres to 6V53's and 3208 Cats and then some stuffed in pickups. I hear about the 6B so often it almost gets annoying haha. Anything is possible with time and money. See ya and GL.

I have sheared my share of axles in both 12-bolt Chevys, and Dana 60's.
But, it will, most likely, be the carrier that grenades first.
Go ahead and use the 12-bolt.
Later I get to say I told you so; but, then again, it just might hold up.
