Thank you!!

I want to thank DTR, 4RnrRick, and everyone else that helped me. I finally got the nerve to do my fusible links. After a few beers Went out and tackled them. Did all of them except the big green one, didn't get a chance to get the stuff to do that one. Doing this fixed so many things, my key starts my truck again, my voltage gauge doesn't fluter anymore, my windows are kinda faster and dont stop halfway up. Thank y'all.

That's great! Did you go with fuses or new fusible links?

I was just in Advance buying a pack of fuses and I saw that BUSS now makes REPLACABLE fusible-links.

I just took a quick look; but, from what I saw, these screw-mount to a fender or the like and have two screw-terminals, HOT going in and out, with a fusable-link visible behind a clear window.

These looked to be way ahead of the hidden in the harness mess that the auto makers have used for years.

I will see if I can come up with a picture.

Here is BUSS page on links (scroll way down close to bottom) :

They aren't currently showing exactly the ones that I saw at Advance.

The ones I was looking at could be mounted wherever and the wires attached with ring-terminals.
