Unhappy Tear's and more tear's

My truck got backed into, while it was setting still (parker). It mashed the right side door in my friends Dad hit it. I had to get another door and have it panited. The first time it was done the paint was too light on the dark grey and the sliver. I had it redone and now the sliver is right but the grey is too dark. This is making sicker all time hope the 3rd time will me a macth.

I have been in body shops since I was old enough to walk my dad and uncle own their own shops and my grandpa owned his for years, and I know it is almost impossible to get paints to match exactly if you are only painting one panel. My dad has digital paint scanners and mixes his own paint, and it is still hard to do. You usually have to blend the paint into the other panels so the subtle color variance isnt noticeable. I have seen cars come factory with different color parts usually moldings or bumper covers. So good luck to your paint, and sorry to hear about the accident.

I would say the two higher prices aren't all that bad ,but $1200 sounds better. The old saying is you get what you pay for so consider that. Dealing with body shops is a crap shoot at best. The family that I have in the body business one out of three is honest and will do the best job he can, that one is my dad. The other two I wouldnt let paint my wifes ford if that tells you anything. So do your research on the shop you use, word of mouth is my dads best advertisement. Good luck.
