tail light problem

I noticed that my running lights are not working in the rear, neither is my dash lights. I replaced the fuse but that didn't help. I thought it was the head light switch because if I pulled the switch half out slow the back tail lights would work but when I pulled the switch out all the way they would not. So I just got done putting a new switch in thinking my worries where going to be over. The rear tail lights are still not working. The blinkers and brake lights all work so I don't think it a ground issue but I'm lost on this one.

The only thing I have done to make the lights not work is I ran my trailer lights off the back. But the lights worked fine until a few days ago.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I'm stumped on this one.

Check the fusible links by the battery if the fuse is OK. A dime in the cigarette lighter will cause this sort of problem.

I checked to make sure the stuff by the battery as connected but all looked ok. I even checked the cigarette light for debris and nothing. I'm still really lost on this one, I thought for sure it was the head light switch since the tail lights came on if played with switch by pulling it half out then pushing down on the lever they would work but as soon as I pulled the switch all the way out nothing no matter what I tried. I hate wiring!
