Tach Setup for a 93 D350

I have a buddy with a 93 D350 Automatic.. he wants to put a tach in it.

Any suggestions? How does one hook up the sender?
Hes looking something close to factory.

Thanks!

Garrett

I am looking to do the same. Isspro makes a harness that is specific to
our trucks, 92 & 93, It plugs into the factory 4 pin connector. Part#R8912-92
That is where I am with that. I would prefer to install a 3 3/8'' 4K RPM gauge. They have a 2 1/8''............. stock was larger than that. Hopefully someone else can help us out here??

Check out Tech articles @ top of page, thats where you will find the tach harness info.

The AutoMeter alternator tach that I and several others use is a 2 5/8" gauge. Install is very easy, it needs power, ground, light dimmer, and you clamp the probe to the alt case.

I just installed the Isspro 4K tach and like it. The harness is pretty pricey for what you get - a connector with 4 wires (Two of the wires are for lighting), but it's convienient. I just used mico spades and my own wire along with the instructions found on the site and a 12V test light.

I'm thinking about going with the Isspro one. How much did the whole setup cost you (gauge + harness)?
