Question tach plug

I know I saw this here somewhere, once before but I can't find it. Doesn't my 93 have a factory plug in for the tach, and where is it? Thanks.

It should be a small grey plug under the dash to the left of the fuse block. Should be 3 wires in it.

Mine was hidden on the left side of the steering shaft tube under the dash.

Now that that's been answered, does the tach still have to be calibrated when using the plug as opposed to an alternator tach?

How much does a tach that uses the plug cost?

I'm looking at one for Christmas and trying to decide between the Autometer 2888 and a tach that uses the plug. TIA.
