swiss cheese
swiss cheese
been thinking of swiss cheesing my stock airbox on my 92.does any one have the pros and cons.also has anybody put a rear bench seat in a first generation and is it any trouble.tia
The pros would be increaed air flow and turbo sound. I dont really know of a drawback. I have a rear bench out of a 96 chevt 4 door that is my intention to try and install it, but i havent got to it yet.
Only thing I could think of as a drawback (and it isn't really one) is that it probably won't flow as good as a BHAF with an old smoky mount. In the amount of time it takes you to cut up the stock air box, you could have made up an old smoky mount...
Or you might replace the OEM filter-box intake duct (connects the box to the front of the truck) with a much larger duct. Same effect as swiss-cheezing but allows only COLD
air. (As compared to under-hood temps).
A higher available flow of a potentially denser air charge.
