What boost do you hit? What have you "tweaked" on the pump, besides the 4200 rpm spring? What fuel pin are you running?

called and asked them again today and they finally gave me an answer.

Correction factor was 1.2 they said, so my hp was around 375ish? do you just divide your corrected hp and tq by 1.2?

hit about 42ish lbs of boost on the dyno, i can hit 48-50 lbs with this he351 on the street. Egts are very controllable too. On the dyno it would hit 1200 pretty quick then very slowly start to creep up to 1500. Stock fuel pin (just disabled) full power screw in as far as i dare go, ksb hotwired, and 4200 spring. Airdog II feeding the VE with about 14 psi.

Oh I know how it is Terry, I've been extremely busy as well, just not with farm work unfortunately. Yes I'm very happy with the new trans. I'm thinking about pulling next weekend in Blackfoot then Idaho falls on July 14th probably. But I plan on doing the ones in Logan for sure!

I'd believe about 400, uncorrected is normally closer than not...

Putting the CF controversy aside, you are doing good man. Can you come to Wyo and tune my truck for me please? It is a dog for the $ I have put into it.

If I can find the time and diesel or ever get over that way I would try to help. My sister actually lives in Rawlins

Those uncorrected numbers are pretty good considering your mods. How hot does it get on the dyno?

FWIW: I put 584 to the ground with a 1.2 CF.

great numbers! pretty awesome to see good numbers with budget injectors

I don't get why places have such high correction factors on turbo charged engines... Our dyno place locally puts like a 1.5%CF. for those that are wondering that's a 1.015 cf

Last time I was there (couple years ago now) my uncorrected number was 248. Corrected I was at 251.5...

I'm going to have to make another trip to the dyno this summer to see what she's laying down after the rebuild and all that. I want different injectors and a different turbo first though.

To me, this is proof that you don't need monster injectors to make good power out of the lowly VE. At least, so long as you're not going for any hp records you don't.

My stock injector truck 1/4 mile times puts me at 240ish at the rear wheels.

My old auto 2wd Ext cab weighed almost the same and it was nearly the same power, however the 1/4 mile times were slower (MPH near the same, within 5mph) and it put me around 205hp.

EGTs didn't get too hot. I've learned to not even be afraid of the pyro anymore as long as its not for too long. It would hit 1200 pretty fast then slowly start to creep up to 1500 at WOT then the run would be over. No, I'm still pretty impressed with it for what it has, uncorrected numbers or not. I don't know if its just this pump or what, but its seemed to always fuel well. PODs are a cheap and dirty injector, but I've ran this set for years with very very good results. It will be interesting to see what bigger injectors, my 14mm VE, more timing, and a bigger turbo will do on this old thing.

i'd be interested to see what your power would do with nothing more than some injectors that are a bit bigger. goes to show that the he351 can make good power without the egts getting tooo out of control as well.

A lot?? I'd guess another 150hp....just make sure you don't spin that 14mm too high!
