Super HX40

What is the difference between a super hx40 and a regular one? i think a regular hx40 is a 60/65/16 right? is that the same as a super? does the super just have more blades?

I need a hx40 to cool my 370's, do you guys know where i can get one, for a reasonable price? i really want a super hx40 because i hear they are better. they have an upgraded shaft too right?

Thank you

pretty sure its just a 60/65 turbo with an extra blade making it 7 i believe.

MAKE SURE you do not touch an hx40 with a 18cm exh. housing on it, they spool slower then a 21cm on an h1c

Probably spool like an H1C with an HTT 60mm comp on it. Takes a bit but when it lights, it's fun.

Guys keep in mind when you do the HX40 you have to figure something out with a downpipe (4")..you could just buy one of course.

I'll get some of the D350 tomorrow. The crew is in a million pieces, it's a long term goal.

Where would one purchase an HX40? A 62/71/14 S300 is a little pricey for me at the moment, so I think I'm going the HX40 route as well.

well the super40 has the hx40 compressor and the hx35 turbine to achive quicker spoolup and the air flow of a larger charger. they also have upgraded shafts. the super40 is pretty much just a hybrid. but they are veryreliable chargers from my experience

How can this be true when it has a 4" outlet and a 5mm larger exhaust wheel?

Isn't that one a 57/65/14 S300? Also known as the S300G? The different BD names confuse me.

Yepm the BD superB is a S300G. I am going to use one as my secondary on my new twin setup. They seem pretty reliable.

Yea but the supposedly the compressor wheel tips are so extended it'll do better then an ancient HX40.

HX40's im pretty sure came on some bigger cummins application but one should'nt be too hard to find, there was one in the classifieds but its gone.

boostedve bought his from a turbo shop in MD. its a 60/65/16

I know you can buy the enhanced hx40's from PDR.

the PDR hx40 is 1100 and a 62/71/14 S300 from pdr is 1500.

Yeah, Richie told me the S300G will outperform an HX40. I might go with the baby S300. I was really hoping to get a used one so I could get it cheap.
