I dont think it freezes. It's a petroleum based product right? I think it turns into a honey like liquid like how oil is when it's really cold.

I have looked on my "sticker" as I have the Super duty cooler. It says:

Super-Duty transmission oil cooler.................... $375

I'm in Torrance Jim should you have the need to inspect it.

Sorry guys. didn't see that "dlittle" had already answered the price question and didn't see that Jim already has the cooler. As far as the bypass valve goes I would swear that mine is white plastic. I will check again. I just checked my tranny fluid and it is slightly over filled. I didn't overfill it. I've never added fluid to it but I need to get some of the fluid out. I thought that I was going to have to flush it or remove the pan since there is no drain but then I remembered that I had the cooler so I was just going to unbuckle a line and drain fluid out. then add some fluid to bring it close to snuff. I have read that over full is bad and way worse than under full on our trucks.

Checked my bypass. It's metal. It's covered in grime with one shiny spot visible and it looked like plastic. After closer evaluation it is made of the finest american pot metal used in the auto industry.

whosdunit, the H valve on my truck is right around the end of the cab, in front of the fuel tank. REALLY SMALL! Did you check there per chance?

Trans Super cooler fan

Checked fan to be sure it runs (jumper wire) I have never heard or felt my fan come on. How about a lite on the dash to let one know when it is on ? Maybe a lighted sw.,

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but does anyone know the tubing dimension for the "H" connector. I assume the connections are whatever hose size, but what about the connection between the two? I see there is no part number.

dealer installed under bed transmission cooler

I was trying to print the dealer installed automatic transmission oil cooler for my reference for my 1992 Dodge W250 Cub Cab pickup with a 5.9 cummins. I have not been able to print a readable copy from the forum. Can anyone help with this so I have all the info and installation instructions?
My wires are broken at the temperature sensor so all I need right now is that lead plug, wire and probe that goes into the cooler under the bed. Can I buy that anywhere?

Thanks,
Hondo

I doubt the parts are still available, but you've now got the part numbers from the Installation Instructions posted above. You can telephone the parts man at your local Dodge dealership -- his computer will tell him if any dealer in the US still has the parts on his shelf.

Correct, all of the lines are 1/2",

I bought 3 boxes of Hayden TOC line from Oreillys.
Transmission Oil Cooler "TOC" line is special, it needs to withstand high pressure and high heat.

Also fyi I found a replacement for the air/fluid cooler under the bed.
