Cool stuck brake lights

This is reallly wierd have not driven my truck in 3 or 4 days I pull up in the drive way and notice the brake lights are on. I jump in the truck tap the brake pedal a few times stil on. I go to start the truck and the key will not turn. I disconect batteries wait a minute or two key works perfect truck starts but brake lights still on with key on or off. Give the trailer brake controller a Fonzy tap lights still stay on. I give up do I need a priest for an exorcism ??

Your brake switch has pushed back out of its holder. It is only retained by a push through plastic sleeve. Adjust it then secure with zipties.

Here is how you repair the switch and keep your brake lights off.

A brake control out of adjustment can cause the brake lights to stay on.
