my neighbor got yelled at by his cardioligist because he is always working in his shop with a pacemaker in his heart. apparently thats a big no no im told??? he has 4 stents in his heart and they say bending over an electronic controled engine can "demagnitize" the stents. im sure they would froun apon tig welding.

im sure they would frown upon tig welding.
Any form of welding to be exact. The amp limit for welding is 90 amps. Shoot I use higher settings than that to just tack weld.

Do what ? ? ? ? ?

Welding sets up extremely powerful electromagnetic fields - Place a compass about 3 feet from a welder and then have someone watch it while you weld....
The fields not only can - they will stop a pacemaker...Not a good idea.

The only time I weld now is if. I have to have a known very good quality weld.

I did the welding on the trans mount for my G56. I didn't trust the person for that type of weld. I had a 220 volt 225 amp mig set on kill.
