Its a reinforcement that goes on the back side of the frame and braces to the engine cross member. If your gonna run big tires and cross over you probably want to box the frame Here is a good How-to on RCC
It is an "asssistant" to the stock power steering bracket that mounts to the outer frame. The piece from dodge connection mounts on the inner frame directly opposite of the powersteering box and also catches structure underneath the front end. Sorta like a "seismic" attachment if you understand that term(building trades terminology). The dodge connection bracket has pre drilled mounting holes that are meant to utilize the bolt pattern of the oem powersteering bracket.
