I can't remember the name of this doodad, Starts with a "K" I think (KSB solenoid?). Hasn't been connected for years and years, never seemed to need it.
Can I just delete it?

What year?

This is for cold timing advance. Different years work differently. By not having it hooked up, you either have no cold start advance, or you are advanced all the time. Both can be detrimental depending on your habits.

If you take it off, I believe you have a hole in the pump housing to seal up.

My truck starts without the grid heaters at 10f degrees, and have never had trouble starting even at -20 degrees with the toasters. I have the pump jammed against the head as it is. At 7,000 ft with summer D/A over 12k, I need all the timing I can get, especially with my (too big) turbo.

Figure out which way yours works. There could be more timing in it for you.

I don't use grids either.
