When one lives in one of these little poverty-hole minimum-wage towns, over a hundred miles from any decent parts sources, one learns to improvise or stay in the poor house; and, if you don't know what the "poor house" or "poor farm" is, then you have been more fortunate than I.






The Poor House and Poor Farm are government subsidized facilities for those out of a job or too feeble to support themselves.

If you are sort of able to do farm work, then you go to the Poor Farm, live there and do farm work that not only supports the Poor Farm, but also supports the Poor House.

If you are too feeble to work, then you end up in the Poor House to wind up your days with several other residents who are in the same boat.
