Stainless Brake Hoses
Stainless Brake Hoses
Has anyone had any luck finding stainless lines recently? All I can find for the banjo fittings are the round style fittings, like the ones on the bottom of this pic. I am keep imagining them loosening up after a few lock-to-lock turns. The edges of the "block" style fitting engage the caliper, so it isn't allowed to work the banjo bolt loose. Thoughts?

You might want to try a hydraulic hose maker. They may be able to re-use the stock ones or have / can get the ones you need / want.
When I converted my 69 Charger to discs, I got custom lines made for about the same cost as stock lines from auto parts store at my local http://www.hosemakersplus.com/.

I would try the brake hose division of Classic Tube, the people who make the direct replacement stainless brake-lines for classic cars and trucks.
I can't recall the name their braided stainless hose division goes by, but they are always advertised on the same page of magazines as Classic Tube and are the same people.
I needed custom braided stainless hoses for my F-350; I called them, gave them the lengths I needed, told them the particulars about the truck, and had them in hand in about a week.
When I first installed the braided hoses, I could definitely tell a difference in braking response; no soft hose to swell up before the brakes applied.
If nothing else, you might talk them into taking the hardware from a new set of O.E.M. rubber hoses and attaching the braided stainless to that; that may very well be what they are doing anyway.
